Matt joined Sweetwater in 2016 and is a Partner and a member of the firm’s investment committee. Matt helped lead Sweetwater’s first advisory mandate by providing follow-on investment recommendations, occupying Board seats, and developing a liquidation strategy for a State-managed venture fund comprised of 97 technology and healthcare assets. Prior to joining Sweetwater, Matt founded and managed Coast Security & Investigations, a private investigation agency providing research and due diligence services to seed-stage investors and corporations engaged in M&A activity. Matt holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Marketing from California State University, San Marcos.
